Darilynn first noticed Joel's gorgeous eyes and his incredible smile, they exchanged quick glances and a little grin...but neither had enough courage to say hello...not just yet.
A few weeks later they were together again, Joel was playing it cool, showing of his rollerblading skills when all of a sudden he found himself flat on the ground, Darilynn, the sweetheart that she is, rushed to his side to make sure he was okay... and that is how they met.
They hung out as friends for a long time, and in this time Darilynn became the girl that, for some reason, Joel had an uncontrollable desire to dip, all the time!
It was in Banff on top of a mountain, where Joel asked Darilynn to be his wife... and on May 2, 2009 I will have the honour to photograph the special moments of their big day in Fort Saskatchewan, Alberta.
I first met Darilynn and Joel in November and honestly, it felt like I was out for coffee with long-time friends. I just knew we were going to have a blast working together and I was right! Last Saturday, Darilynn and Joel rocked their e-session!
I was greeted with a giant hug from Darilynn and from that moment on the afternoon was filled with laughter, excitement, and even more hugs.
These photos make me smile, they are so fun and truly reflect Darilynn and Joel's personalities; love for life and love for each other.

Darilynn and Joel showed off their athletic skills with this funky jumping shot. I LOVE it...
...and since Joel was game for jumping, we got this shot (even with our audience). I had to demonstrate the "jump" to Joel and couldn't stop laughing just imagining how ridiculous I looked - I don't have a bone of athleticism in my body...but did manage to land on my feet (whew!)
Darilynn's expression is hilarious....and Joel got great air!!!
