I had the honour of being the Second Photographer for Michele King Photography for Greg and Sarah's wedding a few months ago... and I just had to share some of these special moments with you. We went to Fort Edmonton Park for their photos and had a great time together.  We even had time for a quick ride in a Street Car, but what made it even more special was that Sarah’s Dad had made arrangements to have the Street Car personalized with their names on the plaque card...it was a nice touch!  It was a beautiful day and it was so great meeting you guys. Congratulations!!!

  

   

fall.field...and a rubber chicken

I'm not sure if I am still able to consider this Fall or not.....but this photo session took place the very last weekend before we got hit with snow and we still had amazing fall colors for a backdrop (yes, I am far behind in blogging)....but even with the chilly winter air we were still able to capture some lovely family photos of these three (or should I say four, if you include their dog, Gulliver)....

Bill, Betty Ann and Leanne are all tied to the University of Alberta in one way or another, so it only seemed right to get them all dressed up in UofA gear...but hey, where's Gulliver's UofA sweater???

If you know Bill you'll "get" this picture...if you don't know Bill...you're missing out - he's hilarious! The RUBBER CHICKEN made more than one appearance in our session together.

 

 

This car has been a part of the family for a loooong time, so we grabbed a few shots of it too.

Stay tuned....over the next few weeks I'll be posting images from the many many many upcoming engagment shoots with my 2009 brides and grooms. You've already seen a few (L&J) (C&C)...and there are plenty more to come. (And I can't forget to mention one of my 2010 couples too (V&J)).

I personally think I've lucked out to be able to shoot all of these awesome couples' weddings - they are some of the sweetest people I know and I am so excited to share their pictures with you!!!

So, check back......it's going to be a very busy Spring.

I LOVE MY JOB!

wow

I don't know how it happens...one minute she's here, the next minute she's there. My daughter is home sick with me today (and yesterday) and she's so snuggly and sleepy and just wants to cling to mama....but the second she gets a burst of energy she's gone......and her goal is to rip apart every room in the house in record time... just five minutes ago she emptied out the last of our cajun spice on to the kitchen floor and as I'm sweeping it up she's moved on to stacking every single travel mug we own.

 She amazes me....

I would stop to take a picture to show you, because usually my blog entries have pics, but I'm too nervous to leave her while I run downstairs to get my camera....

Oh, wow, she just discovered that our bag of almonds has a hole in it and she's just sprinkled our floor with them. I have to sign off before anything more happens...aaaahhhh, she's getting the pots & pans out of our cupboard and is mixing her juice with her grapes. I'm impressed, she's even using a measuring cup to get the recipe just right.

The life of a two year old, wow!!!

Me: How old are you?

My daughter: One!

Me: Well Honey, actually you just turned two.

My daughter: Oh, okay.

It took me all year to get my daughter to hold up her finger (showing "one") when I would ask her how old she was....now, she's just turned two and I have to start alllllllllllll  over again. Here we go!!!

The greatest thing in my life.......my baby.....
